If you have returned to your natural hair you may find yourself wondering what type of natural hair do I have? Or what is my texture type? There is only one correct answer to that question: your hair type is "beautiful" so let's start there.

I like to use terms like loose, medium, and tight when referring to our curls, coils, and kinks. I do not use numbers to grade our beautiful black hair. I love to keep things simple because I am well educated as a Natural Hair Specialist as to what care is best effective for maintaing natural hair of any hair type.

Try not to get overwhelmed by feeling like it is an exact science. God created our hair just right and He made sure that the earth's gifts from water, plants, herbs, and botanicals would give it just what it needs to grow and stay healthy. So don't make it difficult, just learn to embrace the beautiful textures that you have been blessed with.

"Eat Your Way to Gorgeous Hair"

Believe it or not but yes it is very possible to eat your way to gorgeous hair. Although the hair that grows out from your scalp is dead, the living part of the follicle is very much alive and it needs the right nutrients and minerals to thrive.

Nutrition plays a very big role in the look and feel of your hair, so it is very important to eat the right foods to help your scalp grow thicker, stronger, and healthier hair.

If your diet is deficient, you may notice your hair becoming finer, thinner, and even balding. You should always load up on organic whole foods that contain lots of protein, iron, and zinc and you will be on your way to having gorgeous healthy hair!
